ReplyDeleteThey're not super deluxe but if you just need to get a site up and running, Google Sites is great for that. I've used them as temporary websites while we get our paid one done. Also have used them for internal websites, basically a landing page for our employees with all the links & docs they need. Google is reliable, never any down time.
DeleteThanks for asking! 🙂 You can't use plugins or add-ons with Google Sites, but I've found that most additional functionality can be added using other online tools (esp for things like online payments, scheduling, etc.). Other website builders will put most things behind a paywall, even if they have a free version. Things like connecting your own domain name, removing their logo or ads from your site, adding payment options (in addition to payment processing fees), etc. Google Sites doesn't charge for any of that. Literally, the only cost will be your annual fee for your domain name whether you've bought it from Google or not. Hope that's helpful!
DeleteI have a small home-based daycare. I focus on outdoor learning and exploring the forest near my house (safely, of course!). I have no website building skills, but I was able to use this template just by editing the contact info, address, name, etc. I still use the same photos that came with it, although I plan on adding my own in the future. It worked out really well and looks great!
